The people of Gīlan are among the most cheerful and noblest groups who have preserved their beliefs and traditions for centuries. Their local music is influenced to a large extent by their surrounding environment and farming activities.
Aside from its nature, the capital city of Gīlan province, Rasht, is well-known for its cuisine with its various food and delectable recipes. The city of Rasht has been received UNESCO’s recognition as one of the best places in the world as far as cookery is concerned and it has been selected as a “Creative City of Gastronomy” by UNESCO since 2015.
We are inspired by the rich flavor and nutrient dense cuisine of Rasht where we lived for years. Our focus and passion is to introduce Gīlan ethnic food culture and to promote healthy lifestyles, well nutrition, and natural living. Rasht Delectables features unique recipes, some based on ancient recipes passed down through generations with same taste but in a healthier form by avoiding Gluten and sugar in our instructions. All products are plant based and Gluten Free Certified.

Our first and primary product, the freshly produced marinated olives called WALNUT OLIVE, is an addictive VEGAN and GLUTEN-FREE appetizer that has its roots in Gīlan. This product is also LOW in CARB and represents two members of Team Good Fat, Walnut and Olive, all rich sources of good fats. This vegan dish can be served as a side dish or enjoyed as a healthy snack. It also works well as a colorful accompaniment on a cheese platter and can be served with thin bread such as lavash, baguette slices or on crackers.
